Levant is a restaurant based in Melbourne, Victoria who specialise in Levantine street food with a modern twist. With the construction of their restaurant in progress, they came to me for a new brand identity.

Just like their food has a modern twist on traditional classics, I encouraged myself to do this with the brands visual language, as well as incorporating some history. The name Levant derives from the Italian Levante, implying the rising of the sun. Using that as the main focus, I opted to use this as the artwork for the brand.

Combined with a modern, yet experimental display typeface and vibrant colour palette, I was able to achieve my goal.
